Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 7, 2026
Score Counter ("the App") is developed by Marek Lenart. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Data We Collect
Game Data (Local Storage)
All game data — player names, scores, saved games, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud Sync (a planned future feature), your game data will be synced through Apple's iCloud service to your other devices registered to the same Apple ID. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics (Optional)
Future versions of Score Counter may use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data to help improve the app. This may include:
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- App feature usage events (e.g., "calculator opened", "score added")
- Session counts and duration
Analytics data does not include player names, scores, or any other personally identifiable information. When available, analytics collection can be disabled in Settings → Privacy within the app.
In-App Purchases
All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We receive only a non-identifying confirmation that a purchase was completed. No payment information is transmitted to or stored by us.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Player names or scores (never transmitted off your device)
- Location data
- Contact information
- Advertising identifiers (the app contains no advertisements)
- Photos, camera, or microphone data (unless Voice Control is enabled — a future feature)
3. Third-Party Services
Score Counter may interact with the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store — app distribution and in-app purchases. Apple Privacy Policy
- Apple iCloud — optional sync (under your Apple ID). Apple Privacy Policy
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — optional, anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
4. Children's Privacy
Score Counter is not directed at children under 13. The app does not contain advertising, does not require account creation, and does not share personal data with third parties beyond the optional analytics described above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Data Security
All game data is stored locally on your device and protected by iOS security mechanisms. If analytics is enabled, data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Disable analytics — toggle off in Settings → Privacy (when available).
- Delete all data — delete the app from your device. All local data is removed.
- iCloud data — manage or delete your iCloud data through Apple's iCloud settings on your device or at icloud.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
